Schooled in marketing, groomed in PR, refined in social.
I’m naturally an introvert, but my ADD tends to mask that from time to time. I like to change the status quo and challenge conventional wisdom — and ALWAYS root for the underdog.
I’m a firm believer that nobody should be treated differently based on prior success or accomplishments. With that being said, let me tell you about some of my prior success and accomplishments :)
I was born and raised in the Gateway District of Portland, Oregon. Just before I hit my teens, our family moved out to the suburbs, went to four different high schools and graduated from Western Oregon University.
Straight out of college (well, I interned the last 18 months of college) I went to work for the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers — a team I grew up idolizing. I spent my first seven years working on the PR team, then jumped over to digital and social, managing and executing both the team accounts and the venue accounts. Our PR team was named the best in the NBA in 2012, the team won the NBA's Digital Innovator of the Year Award in both 2016 and 2017 and our Twitter account was ranked #1 in the NBA by Complex in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
After nearly a decade in-house, I made the jump to the agency side in 2017 to work with some of the biggest sports and entertainment brands in the world. My wife, kids and dog left the nest and moved to southern california. About 18 months later we found ourselves back in the Pacific Northwest, brought here to work on the executive social team at T-Mobile.
