As the Sr. Director of Accounts, Kris Koivisto oversees client satisfaction at STN Digital, a full-service social media agency in San Diego. Focusing on sports and entertainment, STN provides its clients a wide range of services including consulting and advising, ideation and new concepts, audits and digital rate cards, branding and creative, on-site productions and activations, and live coverage during events.
STN's client roster includes NBC Sports, Turner/TNT/TBS, FX Networks, Twitter, FOX Sports, Big Ten Network, SEC Network, UFC, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, Washington Redskins, San Francisco Giants, Seattle Sounders and the Big East Conference.
Prior to joining the team at STN, Kris worked for the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers from 2007-2017. After spending his first seven years working in the team's award-winning PR department, he made the jump to digital in 2014, overseeing the team's social media strategy for the next three seasons.
The Trail Blazers won the NBA's Digital Innovator of the Year Award in both 2016 and 2017 and their Twitter account was named #1 in the NBA by Complex in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Ambitious and curious, Koivisto is as competitive as they come. He finds himself at his best when facing a challenge -- and always believes things can be done better.
Kris and his wife Chrystal live in La Jolla, Calif. with their two kids, KJ (7) and Presley (5) and dog Frankie. A native of Portland, Ore., Kris attended Clackamas High School and Western Oregon University. Hobbies include small home improvement projects, trips to the beach, catching up with friends, playing basketball, watching Netflix and working out.
