About Kris
Schooled in marketing, groomed in comms, refined in social. I am an introvert with ADHD who's passionate about bucking the status quo and challenging conventional wisdom. I'm a firm believer that different is better than better. I do my best work when the destination is clear and I'm given the autonomy to determine how to get there.
Born and raised in Northeast Portland, Oregon I was a sports junkie growing up. I chased my hoop dreams as far as they would take me, but eventually let it go in lieu of a career in sports.
Straight out of college, I joined my hometown team, the Portland Trail Blazers—a franchise I had grown up idolizing. I spent seven years on the PR team before transitioning to digital and social, where I found my niche managing content for the team as well as Moda Center events. The collaborative work of our team turned a lot of heads, which led to a role with a social media agency in San Diego, where I worked with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment.
After a change in agency ownership, I returned to the Pacific Northwest to lead social media for the CEO of T-Mobile. Following six years with Team Magenta, I scratched a long-standing entrepreneurial itch by stepping into photography. While creatively fulfilling, it clarified something important: I'm at my best telling other people's stories. That realization led me to a role managing executive communications for the CEO of a medical company.
As of early 2026, that role is being eliminated, so I'm turning the page and looking for the next meaningful challenge!
